12 Signs of Demonic Possession

When a person gets involved in fortune-telling, idol worship, Ouija boards, horoscopes, talking to the dead, tarot card reading and anything having to do with the occult, they have a demon–even if they claim to be a Christian!

Partaking in this is a clear open door to the demonic and when you open that door willingly, the demons will enter.

When there is a constant extreme restlessness in any spiritual environment, then that can be an indicator that it is most likely not your flesh. It is “something” that does not want you to be there. The individual will want to leave the area as quickly as possible and exhibit signs of stress like fidgeting, sweating, looking for the exits, etc.

Any attempt of deliverance will be met with extreme hostility. The level of hostility will be equal to the threat that it poses to the demon. So, if the demon can find a way out easily and is not pursued, the hostility will be slight but if they are restrained or prevented from leaving, the hostility can become extreme.

Demonic entities can plant thoughts into the hearts and minds of people. These can be compulsive, intrusive thoughts of self-harm,  harming others especially family members, perversion, blasphemy, or even the sound of voices that will not stop.  These voices are often accusatory towards the individual who is under demonic oppression and is intended to wear the person down to reduce their ability to overcome the demon.

As the demon wears down their victim's belief systems, the depression will worsen and the subject will start to take on the mindset of the demonic which consists of hatred towards humanity. This hatred starts to manifest in outbursts of anger, violence to solve issues, self harm like cutting of the skin (either hidden or exposed), planning of harm for others (setting up traps in the home to harm family or taking weapons to school to harm others).

The demonically oppressed may suffer from insomnia or the inability to get peaceful sleep. They could also experience night terrors as the demonic entities torment them in their sleep. Victims will report having dreams about the demons, or nightmares about the victims killing their families or engaging in violence towards others. Sometimes the attacks are waking attacks where the demon torments the victim physically by appearing over them in bed, or pulling on their legs or the bed sheets or even scratching or bruising them in their sleep.

The presence of demonic entities, particularly the more powerful types will have physical manifestations that are detectable. Often the smell of sulphur or rotting meat for which you can find no source can be a sign that a demonic entity is present. Insects will be attracted to these smells particularly flies, but also cockroaches and other vermin may be present again without a natural source or reason for them to be there.

An intense, uncontrolled craving for ungodly and defiled things can be a sign of a demon. 

When it comes to this area, understanding the difference between what can be caused by weakness of the flesh, and the influence of a demon is vital. The flesh we must crucify, a demon we must cast out.

Understand that these urges may not be yours. They are foreign and do not belong to you. They’re the desires of another entity that wants to use you to get satiated.

Demons feed off defiled things. They need this food, and they use your body to get it. 

A lot of times, chronic sicknesses can have a demon behind them. This is especially true if it’s something that can’t be detected by the doctors, or if other members of your family constantly battle with the same issue.

Victims, in extreme cases, may also exhibit physical signs of the demonic possession like 

• ashen skin, 
• sunken eyes, 
• cuts and bruises on their body,
•  lack of hygiene,
• foul odors like rotting meat or sulphur,
• dry and cracked lips,
• unexplained loss of weight,
• loss of appetite,
• exce3ssive vomiting

Xenoglossy is a paranormal phenomenon in which a person is allegedly able to speak, write or understand a foreign language that they could not have acquired by natural means.  This is typically a sign that the victim has been fully possessed by the demon.

The demonic entity can give people knowledge and reveal things they could not possibly know.  For instance, they will be:

• privy to the details of events for which they were not present or 
• they may know intimate details about something that they could not possibly know or have never been taught.

Aside from actually seeing a ghostly apparition in your home, the range of what could be defined as paranormal activity is incredibly broad. These include:

•  feeling that you are not alone in a room
• Unusual behavior in pets
• Odd noises that appear to have no explanation
• Hearing unexplained voices
• Changes in temperature with no apparent cause
• Senseation of being touche/scratched
• Unexplainable occurrences, e.g. lights turning on and off, cupboards opening and closing
