Probably the most common type of Demonic Haunting. Feeders use every means necessary to make your life a living hell so they can feed off of your negative energy. They can use anger, jealousy, fear or any other negative emotion to give themselves more power.

A Poltergiest (German for "rumbling ghost" or "noisy spirit") is a type of ghost or spirit that is responsible for physical disturbances, such as loud noises and objects being moved or destroyed.
They have traditionally been described as troublesome spirits who haunt a particular person instead of a specific location.

An incubus (pl: incubi) is a demon in male form in folklore that seeks to have sexual intercourse with sleeping women; the corresponding spirit in female form is called a succubus.
A succubus (pl: succubi) is a demon or supernatural entity in female form, that appears in dreams to seduce men, usually through sexual activity. The male counterpart to the succubus is the incubus.

The night hag or old hag is the name given to a supernatural creature, commonly associated with the phenomenon of sleep paralysis. It is a phenomenon which a person feels during a presence of a supernatural malevolent being which immobilizes the person as if sitting on their chest or the foot of their bed. The word "night-mare" or "nightmare" was used to describe this phenomenon before the word received its modern, more general meaning.

Obsessive demonic hauntings are typified by a demon who is obsessed with a particular person. These types of demons will try to isolate the person they have chosen so they can have them all to themselves. There is a sense of lust or infatuation as if the demon has "feelings" for the person.

A possessive demonic haunting consists of all the aspects of a traditional demonic possession. There are four stages to a demonic posession:

These types of Demonic manifestations occur when an object such as a doll, piece of furniture, etc is acquired by a person and brought into their home. and is possessed by a demonic spirit.
Much of the activity of the demonic haunting will center around this object. Often, when the object is removed, the haunting will abate, but not always.

A shadow person (also known as a shadow figure or black mass) is the perception of a patch of shadow as a living species, humanoid figure, sometimes interpreted as the presence of a spirit or other entity by believers in the paranormal or supernatural.
These are manifestations of demonic entities.

Certain types of demonic spirits have an affinity with various aspects of ecology. For instance, there are woodland or fey types of demonic entities, water demons, deserts, etc.
These are a particularly powerful demonic spirit.
Residual Hauntings
Definition
This type of haunting is energy that's been left behind, and is like a tape recorder playing back. It doesn't know you are there, and any interaction is purely coincidental. These hauntings generally take the form of an activity being repeated over and over at certain times of day, week, month or year. Sometimes these are just a build of energy that has soaked into a location. For example, on a battlefield, you may hear phantom cannon or rifle shots as the battle is replayed over and over.
Loop
The manifestation of a residual haunting will not deviate from the associated behavior. The same occurrences will happen over and over again. These will typically be in the form of lesser manifestations like sounds, but can also include partial to full visual manifestations like walking up some stairs. Often, these manifestations will involve the spirit walking through walls as the layout of the location has changed over time.
No Intelligence
You will not be able to communicate with these manifestations as they do not represent an intelligent entity.
Energy Usage
These manifestations tend to happen more prominently when their is a larger source of energy. Some sources of energy will include thunderstorms, home renovations, periods of high stress of the inhabitants of the haunted location, an increase in electromagnetic energy (EMF), etc. This is not the will of the manifestation, but instead the energy feeds the natural mechanisms that cause the events of the past to be recorded and allow them to play back at a higher strength.
Stone Tape Theory
The presence of quartz is prevalent in residual hauntings. Locations that consist of high levels of quartz tend to have higher incidences of residual manifestations. This has lead to the Stone tape Theory. A stone tape is a material object that has “recorded” the energy of a past event.
